Today was my sons last day of preschool. ;-( It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating I was pregnant and a few months after fascinated with the most precious gift any couple could ask for, our very own child. Our first born is now 4 years old and WOW, in just a couple of months (60 days to be exact) he'll be going to Kindergarten. Today I really saw, how time has passed me by and how my Matt is no longer a toddler but a "big boy" ready to enter another wonderful phase in his life.
For weeks I've known that June 30th, would be his last day of preschool. Being that mommy that wants to be involved in my child's life, I thought it would be nice to make some goodies for a great and productive year his class has had. Last week, I mentioned that I would be creating some soccer goody bags in memory of Dennis Marshall. So, I got to thinking how should I design them and what should go in them. Here are the results of what were suppose to be soccer goody bags but yet never go to the bags :-). Excuse the pictures (courtesy of my hubby's new ipod) for they are not very clear.
I got some juice bottles, popcorn and cake pops and added a soccer touch to it...here are the results.

Popcorn Cones: I printed a few sheets of paper with the soccer ball background. Downloaded a template for the cones and here is an example of my beautiful creation.
Soccer Popcorn Cones
Soccerade Juice: "Soccerade" for the thirsty child, who eats popcorn and nice moist chocolate cake pops. No kid (at least mine) can live without juice.
Sprinkled Cake Pops: The pops were placed in a circular styrofoam, which I added a green like grass and soccer balls around it. The end result resembled a soccer field and the cake pops were the soccer players in a huddle.
It was kept simple but done with lots of love for my little man. Thank you Lord for the opportunity of being a parent and having two wonderful little dudes. May my boys grow up to be great men of God that honor and respect themselves and others by resembling who you are. Thanks to all the teachers who have played a role in my sons teachings and my they continue to bless other children. May all his new teachers to come be of great blessings and good role models to his life.
